About The Event
Join us for a five-day immersive summer course for primary teachers exploring how Global Citizenship Education (GCE) can be integrated across the revised curriculum through outdoor and forest school learning in the unique setting of Laois Forest School. Delivered by experienced educators & facilitators, this course is designed for teachers who are committed to inclusive, meaningful and reflective professional learning that strengthens teaching, learning and assessment in line with Department of Education priorities.
This course:
Is a Department of Education approved EPV summer course for primary teachers.
Explores Global Citizenship Education (GCE) through immersive outdoor and forest school pedagogies.
Aligns with the revised Primary Curriculum Framework, with each day focusing on one of the five curriculum subject areas.
Supports the development of inclusive schools practice, promoting access, participation and belonging for all pupils.
