IFO Family Day: Primary-Aged Learner Session

As part of the Irish Forest Owners Family Day in Derrybeg Woodlands, Killeigh, Co. Offaly Laois Forest School will deliver an engaging session for primary-aged children. Learners will take part in hands-on forest activities, including nature exploration, practical woodland skills, games, and creative challenges — all designed to build confidence, teamwork, and connection to the natural environment. This session offers a fantastic opportunity for children to experience the joy of learning outdoors while exploring a beautiful working woodland. 🌳✨

Note: This is a drop-and-collect session. For child protection reasons, adults will not be permitted to stay for the duration of the session but must accompany learners on the complimentary shuttle bus to the woodlands. Parking is at Killeigh Community Centre and a complimentary shuttle bus to Derrybeg Woodland will be provided by event organisers.
